Virgin Coconut Oil

Human physiology is fascinating. The body processes, absorbs, assimilates and excretes matter in a very predictable, reproducible manner. The outcome and by-products of which are also predictable. Through science, we have analyzed and identified much of how the body works. Much of this research has made its way into the mainstream of the American lifestyle. Some of it has not. What if it is well known and established, scientifically, that there are food products, that when consumed, work synergistically with the body to produce desired outcomes and benefits that the American consumers desperately seek? What if this product resembled, chemically, that of the perfect Divine food for proper growth, immune function and development, mother's breast milk? What if it were possible to consume a food that actually stimulated your body to increase its metabolism and release existing fat storage? How cool would that be? How is it possible then, that you can eat right, eat "low fat" foods, and yet keep getting fatter? What if the answer to that question is capitalism and the type of fat we eat that is determining the Shape of America. What if you've been misled? Americans continue to diet to lose weight, counting calories, deprivation and the perpetual rollercoaster that leads to the depression associated with its eventual failure. Why is it you're losing the battle, not the pounds? Something must be wrong. Maybe the answer lies in human physiology.

Fats come in many different forms, saturated, polyunsaturated, etc. But it's the chemistry of the particular fat that makes all the difference. They come in two flavors: Medium-chain fatty acids, and Long-chain fatty acids. It is this difference in how the body processes, absorbs, assimilates and excretes these different fats that will re-shape America. Coconut oil is primary source of medium-chain fatty acids available today. Medium-chain fatty acids are the primary fats of breast milk. One of the most important of which is Lauric Acid, which is also found in high concentrations in coconut oil It is believed to be one of the primary immune stimulators in the growing baby. Human physiology handles the medium chain fatty acids very specifically. The liver converts the fat into direct energy for use, causing a process called thermogenesis, creating an increase in the body's metabolism and the release of an enzyme that circulates in the blood stream which stimulates existing fat cells to release their contents of stored energy for immediate use as well. Study after study have concluded that the use of coconut oil (medium-chain fatty acids), for the reasons stated above, cause a direct lose of body fat composition, while maintaining the lean body mass. These findings are confirmed on MRI studies. This is in direct contrast to how human physiology deals with the Long-chain fatty acids. Long-chain fatty acids are converted by the liver immediately into future energy supplies and are stored directly into the fat cells, building up storage for future use. The fat stores in America are full, and bursting at the seams. These same studies confirm that diets of Long-chain fatty acids (corn oil, olive oil, soybean oil, canola oil, etc.) cause an increase in fat storage and an increase in fat body mass. What if you have been set up to fail? If you keep doing what you're doing, you'll keep getting what you got. If you don't like what you got…It's time to embrace the science, and the Virgin Coconut Oil!

The peer reviewed articles below represent a fraction of the research on coconut oil and medium-chain fatty acids. The health benefit I described above is only one of the powerful synergistic benefits of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). Included for your enjoyment (amazement) are research associated with the other powerful medicinal benefits of the VCO, medium-chain fatty-acids and triglycerides. Many thanks to the Coconut Research Center for their tireless work.
